Unbowed: can a Forsaken still serve the Light?

· by Davina Asaria

The timing is no accident: one day before character creation opens, Blizzard released a new short story about the class many of us have been waiting for. "Unbowed" is the story of a Forsaken Paladin.

The story

Cormack was a Scarlet Crusader in life. Now he has been raised as one of the Forsaken, and he struggles to accept what he has become. When he runs into his old brothers in arms, among them the man who killed him, his past catches up with him. And then the Light answers him, even though it burns his undead skin.

The question the whole story is built around: can a Forsaken still serve the Light? We won't spoil the answer.

Cormack tells it himself, at a campfire, as a narrated story with drawn illustrations.

Rather read it? Blizzard also released the story as a free PDF of 23 pages, full of illustrations: Download Unbowed (PDF)

The Forsaken Paladin in WoW: Forever

The Undead Paladin is one of the new class combinations for the Horde in WoW: Forever. They get their own story: the Forsaken Paladin Journey around Bandarion Keep in the Whispering Wood of Tirisfal Glades, about acceptance, identity and purpose. "Unbowed" feels like the prologue to that journey.

What this means for Legends of Azeroth

Tomorrow, Tuesday October 27 at 18:00 CET, character creation opens. Who is going to make their own Cormack? An Undead Paladin as healer, tank or Retribution would be a great addition to our groups. Tell us in Discord which name you're claiming! All about the reservation: https://legendsofazeroth.com/news/reserve-your-character-names-from-october-27
