An RP-PvP ruleset is coming to WoW: Forever after all
Feedback works! Just a week ago Blizzard said there were no plans for an RP-PvP ruleset in WoW: Forever. Now Senior Game Designer Josh "Aggrend" Greenfield announced the opposite.
What Blizzard says
- In the podcast the team shared its concerns about RP-PvP, but also said it was still talking about it and watching player feedback.
- Over the last few days they looked at what it would take, and decided to go for it.
- There will be a Roleplay PvP ruleset at launch on November 4.
- Blizzard is working hard to make it possible to choose RP-PvP and reserve names there when the Name Reservation starts on Tuesday October 27.
The rulesets at launch
- Normal: fight other players when you want to.
- PvP: you can almost always be attacked by the other faction.
- Roleplay: strict naming and behaviour rules for players who want to play their character.
- Roleplay PvP: new, the roleplay rules on a PvP ruleset.
- Hardcore follows later.
What this means for Legends of Azeroth
Good news for everyone who loves world PvP with a story around it. Before we all claim our names on October 27, let's agree as a guild on which ruleset we play. Share your vote in Discord!
