Will we run out of bag space in WoW: Forever?
WoW: Forever adds lots of fun new items that make your character better in other ways than raw stats. Players love them, but they raise a question: will we run out of bag space?
Items you never want to throw away
- Smelting Pants are great while you level Mining, but lose their use once you are done smelting.
- Cookie's Stirring Rod is something every cook will want to carry forever.
- Arcanite Blacksmith Hammer is a thrown weapon that also serves as your Blacksmith Hammer, so a smith keeps it in the bags.
- Miner's Cape raises your Mining skill. Combine it with other gear with +Mining and Formula: Enchant Gloves - Advanced Mining, and you will hardly ever fail to mine a node.
- Cloak of Hermitic Bliss gives you 100% swim speed. Who would ever take that out of their bags?
- And the community favourite: Night Watchman's Torch, which lights up the area around you.
The Arcanite Blacksmith Hammer in detail: item level 54, binds when picked up, 49 to 92 damage at speed 2.20 (32.05 damage per second), +6 Strength, +4 Spirit, requires level 49 and Blacksmithing 270, and a chance on hit to stun the target for 1 second.
How much room do we have?
WoW: Forever already gives a lot more space than Classic. There is a Reagent bag, and the bank is much bigger:
- Classic: 24 bank slots and 6 bank bag slots you can buy.
- WoW: Forever: 64 bank slots and 8 bank bag slots you can buy.
At launch this will probably be fine. But the more of these items come in, plus extra gear sets (tanks who swap gear per boss, we are looking at you), the faster your bags will fill up. Bag space was always precious in Classic, and too much of a good thing could make bag management harder.
Tip for the guild
Only carry the profession tools you really use, and park the rest on an alt. Have a spare bag lying around? A guildie who just started will be happy with it.
