Stress test tonight until 03:00, and the beta closes on Friday

· by Davina Asaria

It's time: the WoW: Forever stress test is tonight, and it runs longer than we expected.

Tonight

  • Wednesday October 21, from 19:00 until 03:00 CEST.
  • Every player with a WoW account can join. No subscription needed.
  • WoW: Forever runs on its real launch hardware. Make a character, quest, trade, chat and group up: that is exactly what Blizzard wants to test.
  • Afterwards all stress test characters are deleted, names included.

How to join

  1. Update your graphics drivers.
  2. Open the Battle.net app and let it update.
  3. Choose World of Warcraft, and in the Game Version menu above the Play button pick World of Warcraft: Forever Stress Test under *In Development*. Click Install.
  4. When the test starts, click Play, choose a test realm and make a new character.

The beta closes on Friday

After the stress test the beta opens one last time. Blizzard closes the WoW: Forever beta for good on Friday October 23 at 19:00 CEST. After that it's waiting for launch on November 4.

What this means for Legends of Azeroth

Log in tonight and help put the servers to the test, ideally together. Find us in Discord and we'll group up. Just don't fall in love with your character name: it's gone again at 03:00.
