Mount Hyjal in Norway and a Scarlet Monastery escape room: two new WoW: Forever videos

· by Davina Asaria

The beta is closed and character creation only opens on Tuesday October 27 at 18:00 CET, so it was a quiet weekend. Blizzard did release two lighter videos to bridge the wait. Something to watch with a cup of coffee.

Forever Journey, episode 1: Norway

In the new series WoW: Forever Journey, Blizzard takes World of Warcraft "beyond the screen", one spectacular place at a time. In the first episode streamers Guzu and Snupy and Norwegian comedian Stian Blipp go on a road trip in a camper van through the fjords of Norway, looking for a real life Mount Hyjal. Nice detail: Hyjal is exactly where WoW: Forever's leveling story ends at level 60.

This is "episode 1", so more journeys are coming. We'll keep an eye out for them.

Escape Together: Horde against Alliance in the Scarlet Monastery

In Escape Together two teams of creators, one for the Horde and one for the Alliance, compete in head to head challenges that test their brains, brawn and teamwork. At the end they have to work together to get out of an escape room inspired by the Scarlet Monastery. The show was streamed live on Friday and is now on YouTube.

The escape room itself really existed: from October 8 to 11 fans could play it at Escape Manor in Toronto.

Which faction claims victory? Watch it yourself, we won't spoil it.

What this means for Legends of Azeroth

Nothing to do, just something fun while we wait. The next real news comes on Tuesday: then we claim our names and pick our ruleset. See you there!
