Meet the Skyborne: the Windshapers join the Horde
The Skyborne are the new playable race in World of Warcraft: Forever. Horde Skyborne are called Windshapers, and they are a great fit for Legends of Azeroth.
Quick facts
- Starting zone: Zephras Isle, levels 1 to 12.
- Classes (Windshaper): Druid, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman and Warrior.
- Extras: their own druid forms, a unique /dance and a set of new emotes.
Zephras Isle
Thousands of years ago, a group of exiled Highborne made a pact with the spirits of the wind and built a civilisation in Skywall, one of the elemental planes. When you arrive on Zephras Isle, that world is in trouble: the air spirits that protected the island have vanished, old structures are failing and the Skyborne are divided about what comes next.

The Windshapers
The Windshapers descend from the first shen'dorei high elves who received the wind spirits' gift of elemental skysight. A new generation comes to Azeroth to find out what happened to their missing elemental mentors, and they will not stop until the wind spirits are restored. That elemental bond is why Horde Skyborne can become Shaman.

Racial abilities
- Walk on Air: glide down through the air for 10 seconds.
- Skysight: an Elemental Blessing that gives 10% run speed.
- Wind Blessed (passive): 1% more Haste.
- Elemental Insight (passive): 5% more damage against Elementals.
Make them your own
There are thousands of combinations: ten faces per body type, nine skin tones from sky blue to darker shades, over twenty hairstyles, feathers in the hair, face and body tattoos (Zephyr and Wayfinder), earrings and more. You can change your look later at a barber shop in the cities.

Emotes
Skyborne come with their own /dance, and emotes like /laugh, /flirt, /silly, /applaud, /cackle and /bow.

Planning a Windshaper Shaman? Let us know in Discord, we would love to see some wind in the raid.
