Five hours of maintenance right before the WoW: Forever launch

· by Davina Asaria

Two days to go. Blizzard posted a maintenance notice for WoW: Forever in the Battle.net app: the last big round of work before the doors open.

When

  • Down: Wednesday November 4 at 10:00 a.m. PST, which is 19:00 CET.
  • Expected back: around 3:00 p.m. PST, which is midnight (00:00) CET, in the night from Wednesday to Thursday.

That end time is no coincidence. It is the launch itself: the servers come out of maintenance and go live at the same moment, all over the world.

Can it run late?

It can. Launch nights are busy and maintenance sometimes takes longer than planned, so don't be surprised if the realms open a bit after 00:00. It can also go the other way, but don't count on it. We keep an eye on it and post here if Blizzard moves the time.

Get ready before 19:00

  • Install now. The game can already be downloaded in the Battle.net app, also if you don't have a Skyborne pack. Choose World of Warcraft, pick World of Warcraft: Forever in the Game Version menu and click Install. Then launch night is only a short patch.
  • Your reserved names are safe. Name reservation ends on Tuesday November 3. The characters you made are waiting for you after the maintenance.
  • Update Windows and your graphics drivers before Wednesday evening.

What this means for Legends of Azeroth

Our plan stays the same: on Wednesday night we are online in Discord, and in game from the first minute. Everything else you need for launch night is in our complete Horde guide: https://legendsofazeroth.com/news/wow-forever-launches-november-4-the-complete-horde-guide
