Darkspear Islands: a new 15v15 battleground in WoW: Forever

· by Davina Asaria

WoW: Forever gets a brand new battleground: the Darkspear Islands, off the coast of Dustwallow Marsh. Here the Darkspear Raiders (Horde) fight the Theramore Expeditionary Force (Alliance) for strategic footholds, a flag in the middle and the rewards that come with it.

The battleground at a glance

  • Type: 15v15, capture points plus a flag
  • Where: off the shores of Dustwallow Marsh
  • Levels: 30 to 60
  • Win: the first team to 2000 points

Capture and hold

There are four capture points spread over the islands. The more points your team holds, the faster you earn points. In the middle of the map there is a flag: grab it and bring it to one of the bases your team holds for extra points.

How to join

  • Talk to a battlemaster in any capital city.
  • Or go to the Barrens: the Darkspear Raiders base at the Merchant Coast (Horde) or the Theramore Expeditionary Force base at Northwatch (Alliance). A portal takes you into the battle.
  • These bases also have vendors with reputation rewards and quests for the battleground.

Rewards

  • Each side has its own reputation: Darkspear Raiders and Theramore Expeditionary Force.
  • At different reputation levels you can buy gear and consumables: trinkets, rings, cloaks, weapons and armor.
  • Hand in Marks of Honor for reputation quests, and at Exalted a short questline unlocks the faction's own tabard.

What this means for Legends of Azeroth

A battleground with our own Darkspear trolls, and you can start at level 30! A great way to earn Honor and Rank Points while leveling. Who is up for a premade? Organise it in Discord or on the forum. For the Horde!
